Directions and things to do in Nuvali and Solenad (Sta Rosa, Laguna)

Thinking of going to Nuvali or Solenad?

Here are some things to do in Nuvali / Solenad (the two are connected - Solenad contains most of the shops, and Nuvali has some restaurants, a hotel, and the nature / sports venues).

  1. fish feeding and / or boat riding
  2. eating / drinking cofee or tea in the restaurants / shops - in Solenad
  3. grocery - Robinson's
  4. shopping or window-shopping of: shoes, clothes, bags, hardware, gadgets, watches, bikes, sports equipment, etc.
  5. swim at Seda Hotel's swimming pool while staying there
  6. jogging / strolling by the lake / trees
  7. trekking the trails
  8. birdwatching
  9. play in the wide grass fields
  10. wakeboarding in WakeRepublic - this is difficult to reach by public transportation. You'll need a bike / private transport to get here.
  11. trekking the trails
  12. biking - If you have a bike, by all means bring it. If you don't have a bike, or don't want to bring one, you can rent one by the boat ride stall (but it's a Japanese bike, not a mountain bike.)
Want to rent a mountain bike instead? You can  go to Paseo de Sta Rosa (across Caltex Gasoline station), look for Sabak bike store. That's along the back exit of National bookstore. They're open from 7am to 7pm. You need to leave your driver's license and a deposit to borrow a bike. Rental fee itself P700/day, P500/half day). You may call them at (049)5411396.

Here's directions:

Note: For reference, Nuvali is just 1 km ahead from Paseo de Sta Rosa (marked by Caltex gasoline station, Shopwise, it's a crossing / intersection). From Coke, you'll pass Paseo de Sta Rosa first (on the left) and Nuvali (on the left also).

For private vehicles:
Take SLEX, Take Sta. Rosa exit. Turn right to Tagaytay after exit, Go straight for about 15 minutes. When you see Caltex on your right, on your left is Paseo de Sta. Rosa. It's just a short while to Nuvali / Solenad.

    1. From SM Sta Rosa none. But from Robinsons Sta Rosa there's a van terminal in front of the mall going to Paseo de Sta Rosa or Nuvali. Fare is P40 and it leaves every 30 minutes whether or not the seats are filled.
